NYSC Batch ‘B’ Corps Online Registration – 2016 [How-to-Apply]

National Service Youth Corps, NYSC 2016 Batch ‘B’ corps members online registration details. Requirements for registration/mobilization of graduates .

NYSC Online Registration
This is to inform all prospective corps members, i.e. Nigerians who have graduated from Universities and Mono/Polytechnics both at home and abroad that the NYSC On-line registration portal will be opened from 17th October – 12th November 2016 to enable them register for the 2016 Batch ‘B’ mobilization.

Recommended:
In order to ensure a seamless registration, prospective corps members are to note the following for strict compliance:

  • The Website address is any of the following:
    • www.nysc.gov.ng
    • www.nysc.org.ng
    • www.portal.nysc.gov.ng
  • Prospective Corps members should ensure that they have valid and functional e-mail addresses that they can access and Nigerian (GSM) telephone numbers with which to register.
  • Locally trained prospective Corps members are expected to use correct JAMB and Matriculation numbers to register
  • For locally-trained graduates, only those whose names appear in the Senate/Academic Board Approved Result lists submitted by their Institutions will have access to the register on the NYSC portal.
  • Foreign-trained prospective corps members should ensure that their Institutions are accredited. Where in doubt, it is their responsibility to approach Federal Ministry of Education for verification. The letter of verification must be uploaded during registration.
  • Foreign-trained graduates from Ghana and Benin Republic must obtain letters of verification and upload same for mobilisation to be effective.
  • Those who graduated from Institutions outside Nigeria, (Foreign-trained graduates), are to visit the NYSC portal, register and upload the following documents:
    • West African School Certificate(WASC) (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent,
    • General Certificate of Education (GCE O’ Level) (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent,
    • NECO (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent
    • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
    • First Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificate (Second Degree or Ph.D not necessary). Letter of attestation will not be accepted, Please.
    • Transcript of the first Degree or HND.
    • International travelling Passport showing data page and date of departure for the course of study. (Please note that you must present the originals of the above during verification at the Orientation camp).
    • Letters of verification for graduates of Institutions in Ghana, Benin Republic and any other Institution whose accreditation is in doubt.
  • It is the responsibility of the prospective corps members who studied in non-English speaking countries to get their Certificates and Transcripts translated into English language before uploading.
  • All graduates of Medicine, Pharmacy and Medical Laboratory Science are expected to have their Certificates of Registration with Nigerian Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (NMDCN), Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) and Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria respectively and upload during registration. Payment receipts are not acceptable.
  • Unlike in the past, Foreign-trained graduates should not visit NYSC Headquarters, Abuja for verification of their documents. This exercise will now be done at the Orientation Camps. They should simply print their call-up letters on-line and report at the Orientation camps in their States of deployment, but should come to the camp with the original documents uploaded during registration for verification.
  • Anybody who presents any fake document will be demobilized and decamped. Also, anybody not available in camp for the verification will equally be demobilized.
  • Prospective corps members should ensure that Passport photographs used meet the following specifications:
    • Ensure your face (eyes, nose, ears, mouth and jaw) is fully shown without bending
    • Ensure the picture is centralized and fills the frame
    • Ensure the Photo background is white or off-white with no shadow.
  • On no account should prospective corps members register by PROXY. They should also remember the finger used for their biometric capturing as this will be used for data verification at the orientation camp. Those who cannot be verified with their biometric at the orientation camp will not be registered.
  • Only prospective corps members who want their call-up numbers sent to them through SMS and wish to PRINT their call-up letters on-line are expected to pay the sum of Three Thousand Naira (N3,000.00) (see NYSC Portal on how to make payment).
  • Prospective Corps members who do not want to pay the N3,000.00 have the option of going to their schools to collect their call-up numbers and call-up letters.’
  • All prospective corps members who paid for the online registration before but were not mobilized need not pay again.
  • Married female prospective corps members (whether locally or foreign-trained) should upload copies of their marriage Certificates, evidence of Change of name and their husbands’ place of domicile during registration.
  • The orientation camp is highly not ideal for pregnant and nursing mothers. Prospective corps members in this categoriy are therefore to note that they will not be accommodated.
All Part-time graduates are expected to register online and wait for collection of their Letter of Exclusion at their various Institutions. For those willing to print the Letter of Exclusion online, this can be done on payment of Three Thousand Naira (N3, 000.00) only.

Authority of the Federal University, Lokoja (FULOKOJA) has released the registration procedure for returning students for the 2016/2017 academic session.

Carefully read the guidelines outlined below, before commencing your registration:
Registration Exercise for Returning Students Commences Tuesday 18th October, 2016.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: Proceed to the University Portal to generate your school fees payment invoice.
Step 2: Pay your school fees as prescribed on the generated payment invoice using REMITA services (card or bank payment):
  • For Card Payment:Visit remita.net, Click on “Pay an Electronic Invoice“, Enter your generated RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference), and process your payment with relevant card details.
  • For Bank Payment:Visit any bank of your choice that offers REMITA services and pay using your generated RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference) on your invoice.
  • Return to the University Student Portal to confirm your payment.
Step 3: Complete your course registration online.  (Please seek the advice of your Level Coordinator before completing the form).
Step 4: Submit approved copies of the completed Course Registration Forms printed online to:
  • The Faculty/Department Registration Officer, and
  • The Academic Affairs Division
Step 5: Proceed to the Bursary Department and submit the REMITA Payment slip for official stamp. Submit the photocopies of the stamped REMITA Payment slip to the relevant Units.

Following the expiration of the tenure of the 2015/2016 Students Union Government officials and successful election of new set of officers to man the affairs of undergraduates of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), a new set of 2016 Students Union Government Executives have been sworn in.

During the ceremony which took place at the university auditorium, the Registrar, Barrister Ikem Adiele charged the new executives to make accountability their watchword.
He also urged them to respect constituted authority, discharge their duties in a transparent manner and work in harmony with all.
Also speaking, Head of Legal unit, Barrister Chris Didia, reminded the students that although students unionism was part of learning, they should remember that their primary goal was their academic pursuit.
He advised them not to engage in acts capable of derailing them and to ensure that they graduate at stipulated time.
In his inaugural speech, the new Students Union Government President, comrade Orji Broda Kenneth lauded the university management for providing a safe environment for academics to thrive.
The President who also commended the spirit of sportsmanship by all aspirants, extended a hand of fellowship to them and urged them to shun acrimony and work in unity to bring to fruition the dividends of a Students Union Government to the students.
The Dean, Students Affairs, Dr. Fayeofori G. Bobmanuel thanked all who graced the occasion and made it a success.

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) programme for 2016/2017 Session.

The programme leads to the award of JUPEB certificate which enables candidates gain Direct Entry Admissions into Enugu State university of Science and Technology, Enugu and other JUPEB-affiliated universities in Nigeria and Abroad.

ESUT JUPEB Admission – Eligibility & Duration.

Eligible candidates must posses minimum of 5 Credits at maximum of two sittings in at least 5 subjects (inclusive of English Language & Mathematics) relevant to the candidates’ desired course of study in the University.

How to Apply for ESUT JUPEB Admission.

Pay the application fee of N15,000.00 through Remita payment platform at any bank. You are to generate a payment invoice which contains a remita number; the invoice printout will enable you to make your payment at the bank. (Please note that Bank charges apply and must be paid).
  1. Connect to the Internet.
  2. Click on the desired browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.)
  3. Type www.esut.edu.ng
  4. Click on University Portal (at top hand right corner of ESUT website).
  5. Click on JUPEB menu (this directs the applicants to JUPEB page)
  6. Click on Generate Invoice hyperlink
  7. Enter your telephone number and click submit button
  8. Enter surname, firstname, middle name, email address, and click on submit button.
  9. Printout your JUPEB Application Form Payment slip.
  10. Proceed to the bank for payment with the payment slip.
  11. After payment in the bank, return to the portal, portal.esut.edu.ng
  12. Click on JUPEB menu (this directs the applicants to JUPEB page)
  13. Click on “Fill JUPEB Application Form” hyperlink
  14. Enter your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) No. given to you by the bank, and click submit button
  15. The Application form appears for the applicant to complete.
  16. Attach scanned coloured passport photograph on white background (maximum size of 100KB)
  17. Click submit button
  18. Print out Acknowledgement Slip
GENERAL INFORMATION
  1. Applicants into 2016/2017 Preliminary programme are advised to be checking our website from time to time for the actual date of the entrance examination and other relevant information.
  2. All candidates are required to register for 2017 direct entry UTME during the programme.
  3. All candidates are required to use valid e-mail address and PERSONAL Telephone Numbers.
  4. The forms must be filled and submitted online either immediately or within two weeks of accessing the website. No downloaded or printed copies of forms will be accepted.
  5. Applicants are to note that 2016/2017 entrance examination shall hold at the Enugu State university of Science and Technology, Enugu, Agbani Campus.
  6. Candidates are advised to follow the Application Instructions very carefully and ensure they select the Correct SUBJECT COMBINATIONS. Failure to do so may adversely affect the candidate.

University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN direct entry admission screening exercise application form for the 2016/2017 academic session is out.
UNN direct entry screening
The management of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) is inviting suitably qualified direct entry candidates to the 2016/2017 academic session admission screening exercise. Only candidates who have registered with Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and have a Degree or at least a Merit/Lower credit level pass in Diploma or NCE, or RN/RM Certificate are eligible for the direct entry admission screening and interview.

How to Apply UNN Direct Entry Screening.

  1. Visit the University of Nigeria website (http://unnportal.unn.edu.ng/DEScrenningApplication.aspx), log in your JAMB Registration number to generate and download a Payment Invoice which contains a Remitta number, the invoice will enable you to make payment at any Commercial Bank.
  2. With the Payment Invoice, the candidate is requested to pay Two Thousand five hundred Naira Only (N2,500.00) application fee. Ensure that the Invoice number is keyed in appropriately at the Bank and obtain a confirmation slip containing your Confirmation number and Invoice Number.
  3. Visit the University of Nigeria website (unn.edu.ng) or portal (unnportal.edu.ng) again and login your JAMB Registration Number, the Confirmation Number and Invoice Number, then access and complete the University of Nigeria 2016/2017 Direct Entry form online at unnportal.edu.ng.
  4. Applications open on Monday 3rd October and closes on Monday 17th October 2016.
  5. Candidates must possess the University Minimum/Departmental Entry Requirement for the courses applied for.

How to Check UI Post UTME Screening Result.
The post UTME Screening scores will be sent via text messages and e-mails to each candidate.
It can also be viewed by following the procedure outlined below:
  1. Go to UI admission portal @ http://admissions.ui.edu.ng/,
  2. Log in to the portal using your Jamb Registration Number as USERNAME and Surname and PASSWORD.
Note: Candidates with wrong subject combinations in either JAMB or O’level results were not scored where wrong, and will be denied admission either now or later. Candidates below 50 in weighted scores will NOT be admitted into University of Ibadan.

UI Post UTME Scoring System.

· WAEC/NECO: A1(6), B2(5), B3(4), C4(3), C5(2), C6(1).
For the five relevant subjects the scores are added together to get G.
Score = (G/30) x 50 = O’level points (50)
· JAMB/UTME: Jamb scores / 8 = Jamb points (50)
Add O’ level + Jamb points = Weighted Scores (100)
· For 2 sittings
The first examination based on date is taken as the template for all candidates with two sittings. The deficiency from this template is picked from the second sitting but the points from the second sitting are divided by 2.

The Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH invites suitably qualified candidates to its 2016/2017 academic session post UTME screening exercise.
 
CRUTECH Second Choice/Supplementary And Direct Entry Screening will commence from Tuesday November 1, 2016 to Friday November 4, 2016 at the Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH), Calabar campus.

CRUTECH Second Choice/Supplementary And Direct Entry Screening Eligibility.

  1. Made CRUTECH their Second Choice (Preferred Degree Awarding Institution).
  2. Are for Direct Entry (First and second choice)
  3. Made CRUTECH their first choice (more preferred Degree Awarding Institution) but missed the first screening exercise
  4. Did not Choose CRUTECH in the UMTE but are interested in schooling in the institution (Supplementary).

CRUTECH Post UTME Registration Procedures.

To register, candidates:
  1.  In (1), (2) and (3) above should purchase eTranzact Pin at N2, 500.00, while candidates in (4) should purchase eTranzact Pin at N5, 000.00 (N2, 500.00 for Supplementary Form and N2, 500.00 for Screening Fee) from any First Bank Branch in Nigeria.
  2.  Log on to www.crutech.edu.ng and click on the CRUTECH Online Application link (http://apply.crutech.edu.ng/).
  3. Follow the instructions on the Online Application Portal.
  4. Print out the Registration Confirmation Slip after a successful registration.
Items to come along with to the Screening Venue:
  1. 2016 UTME Result Slip
  2. CRUTECH Online Registration Confirmation Slip         
  3. Originals and photocopies of O’level Result(s) (obtained in not more than two (2) sittings) in a file.
  4. WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Scratch Card(s) as applicable.

The CRUTECH Online Registration Confirmation Slip contains your Bio-data, Screening Venue, Date and Time.  This confirmation slip admits you into the Screening Hall.
